Brad Pitt Drops $12M on Hollywood Hills Estate Amid Real Estate Revamp

Hollywood legend sought private property for peace of mind.

B
rad Pitt has acquired a Spanish-style estate in Los Angeles for approximately $12 million, seeking a property that prioritizes both security and seclusion. The Oscar-winning actor purchased the 8,385-square-foot residence from Dave Keuning, lead guitarist of The Killers, who had listed it for nearly $14 million.

The gated Hollywood Hills home features six bedrooms, vaulted ceilings, custom design elements, and panoramic city-to-ocean views. Originally built in 1989, the property blends architectural flourishes with unique touches such as a tin-panel ceiling with a sunflower motif and a floral-lit office space.

Pitt's decision to buy the property came after his nearby mid-century home was burglarized, although security concerns were already a priority before the incident. The new residence comes prewired for alarm systems and is screened by mature landscaping, providing an optimal level of security.

The purchase adds to Pitt's collection of architecturally significant properties, which includes a clifftop home in Carmel Highlands purchased for $40 million in 2022. He also co-owns Château Miraval, a winery in France, and has sold several other properties in recent years, including a Los Feliz compound for $33 million.
