he Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has ushered in a new era of leadership, installing its 2025-2026 Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting in Ottawa. At the helm is Valérie Paquin, a seasoned REALTOR and broker-manager from Blainville, Québec, who brings two decades of industry expertise to the role.
Paquin's appointment marks a significant milestone for CREA, as she joins fellow officers Garry Bhaura, Chair-Elect, Darin Germyn, Vice-Chair, and James Mabey, Immediate Past Chair. The board is rounded out by 15 additional members, each bringing their unique perspectives to the table.
These leaders include Anthony Bastiaanssen from British Columbia/Yukon, Sarah Johnston from Alberta/Northwest Territories, Kourosh Doustshenas from Manitoba, Avril Reifferscheid from Saskatchewan, Winson Chan from Ontario, Daniel Dagenais from Quebec, Chris Peters and Linnea Vandenberghe from Atlantic Canada, David Brown and David Oikle as Directors-at-Large, and Luc Woolsey and Phil Moore.
As CREA's 2025-2026 Board of Directors takes the reins, they will work tirelessly to advocate for property owners, buyers, and sellers across Canada. With over 160,000 REALTORS under their umbrella, CREA is one of Canada's largest single-industry associations, driving economic and social growth in communities nationwide.
