K
aren Winnick has reduced the asking price of Casa Encantada to $165 million, a $30 million cut from its previous price, in an effort to attract a buyer for the 60-room Bel-Air mansion. The property's listing agents, including Compass' Josh Flagg, believe it is one of the country's finest residences and are optimistic that the right buyer will emerge despite the current market conditions. "If this was 2017, the house would be sold by now," Flagg said, "but given the state of the market, there aren't buyers lining up for any house over $100 million." The Winnicks purchased the estate in 2000 for $94 million and spent a year-and-a-half restoring it before placing it on the market last June for $250 million. The property features seven bedrooms, 20 bathrooms, Deco Hollywood-style moldings, a screening room, and multiple gardens across its over 8-acre grounds.
