BRE's team, led by Simon Butler, Biria St. John, John McLaughlin, and Brian Bowler, announced the sale of Ellis Factory Lofts, a 59-unit Class A apartment building in Haverhill, Massachusetts. The CBRE representatives worked with Chinburg Properties, a New Hampshire-based developer, to secure SMC Management as the buyer.
Originally a factory home to Ted's Leather Goods, Ellis Factory Lofts was transformed into luxury apartments and commercial suites in 2019. This redeveloped mill building features loft living with elevator service, high ceilings, industrial windows, and exposed brick and beams. The community offers upscale amenities, including a resident clubroom, fitness room, bike storage, dog wash, private courtyard, and parcel room.
Located in downtown Haverhill near the MBTA/Amtrak Station, Ellis Factory Lofts provides direct access to Boston and Portland, Maine. The property is also close to major highways, expanding its trade area. Biria St. John from CBRE noted that Ellis Factory Lofts is one of the highest-quality loft conversions in the area, contributing to downtown Haverhill's transformation into a vibrant city.
