DTC office building attracts major new tenant, driving sales and leases.

T
he Metropoint I and II buildings in Denver have secured a new tenant, marking their first lease since being acquired last year. Koelbel & Co. purchased the properties for $22 million and is currently undertaking a $10 million renovation.

    Deals of note include:

    * The Cherry Creek School District leased 57,000 square feet across three floors at Metropoint II in Denver.

    * Aurora Plaza LLC bought a shopping center in Aurora for $16 million from Aurora Retail LLC.

    * Castle Rock area liquor stores Bubbles Liquor World and Tiny Bubbles were sold to new owners and placed on new leases, generating $767,000 annually in rent over 10-year terms.

    Other notable deals include:

    * Elevation Dermatology purchased a 7,786-square-foot building in Lakewood for $2.3 million from FirstBank.

    * Pearl Publishing Media Group LLC and Runaway Bridal leased space at 3141 Walnut St. in Denver.

    * Several properties were sold through deeds, including a retail portfolio in Golden, Aurora, and Arvada.
