former school building in Dunkirk has been repurposed as a mental health clinic. The Boorady Building, located at 88-92 E. Fourth St., was sold to BestSelf Properties, LLC of Buffalo for $160,000. The building had sat empty for several years and was previously home to a school reading clinic.
BestSelf Behavioral Health operates the clinic, which offers Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services. ACT is a mobile team of mental health professionals providing community-based treatment and rehabilitation services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.
In other real estate news, Chautauqua County saw 65 transactions between September 9-11. The largest sale was $1,265,000 for a residence on Lakeside Drive in Ellery. Other notable sales included:
* A property on Route 20 in Sheridan sold for $632,000.
* A home on West Oak Hill Road in Ellicott sold for $545,000.
* A lot on Bowman Avenue in Chautauqua Institution sold for $528,030.
