oston-based Cruz Companies, the nation's largest 100% Black-owned construction and real estate development firm, is poised for a significant leap forward in 2025. The company has made several strategic hires to bolster its leadership team, including Jodi Case as Vice President of Asset Management, Terence T. Stretch as Vice President at John B. Cruz Construction Company, and Seitia Harris as Compliance Manager.
These new additions come on the heels of the opening of Cruz Companies' state-of-the-art corporate headquarters within the Michael E. Haynes Building, a mixed-use complex in Boston that debuted its residential portion in 2024. The 8,137-square-foot space will serve as a hub for the company's construction, development, and management divisions, as well as its charitable arm, Cruz C.A.R.E.S.
As the firm looks to the future, several key projects are on the horizon, including a mixed-use complex in Roxbury's Nubian Square district and an affordable senior housing community in College Park, Maryland. Longtime leaders at Cruz Companies have also taken on prominent roles within the real estate industry, with Senior Vice President of Development Daniel Cruz, Jr., named Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation (MHIC) and Chief Operating Officer Justin Cruz invited to join the board of the National Grid Foundation.
"We're entering 2025 with a robust portfolio of multifamily and mixed-use developments, a growing presence in cities across the Eastern Seaboard, and an unwavering commitment to diversifying the building trades," notes COO Justin Cruz. "With our new hires, expanded leadership team, and increased industry recognition, we're accelerating our growth trajectory and looking confidently towards a bold future."
Cruz Companies' President and CEO John B. Cruz III adds, "As we continue to grow at an unprecedented pace, deepening our leadership team is essential for this next phase. These professionals bring the expertise and skills that have made us a valued partner in the communities we serve, and their presence will enable us to achieve even more."
