South Florida man is facing charges after a devastating boating accident last year. Real estate developer George Pino has been ordered by a Miami-Dade judge to turn himself in by next Thursday, where he will face a charge of vessel homicide. The incident occurred during his daughter's 18th birthday celebration on Biscayne Bay in September 2022.
According to officials, the boat crashed into a channel marker while carrying 12 teenagers, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Luciana Fernandez and leaving 19-year-old Katerina Puig severely disabled. An investigation revealed that there were over 60 empty liquor bottles on board at the time of the accident.
