he real estate website Realtor.com has released its annual list of "America’s Hottest ZIP Codes," with Highland, Indiana's ZIP code 46322 ranking at number nine. This vibrant suburb in Northwest Indiana offers a mix of residential neighborhoods and local businesses, providing easy access to Chicago, just 30 miles away, while maintaining a charming small-town atmosphere and strong community spirit. The list highlights markets where homebuyers are actively searching for properties due to affordability, excellent amenities, and other desirable attributes.
The Northeast dominated the rankings, with seven out of ten communities, while the Midwest had three representatives. Gahanna, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus with approximately 35,000 residents, took the top spot. Ballwin, Missouri, a city of around 30,000 in the St. Louis metro area, ranked second. This up-and-coming community is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in the state.
The Midwest also made an appearance in the top ten, with Highland, Indiana's ZIP code 46322 at number nine, followed by Macungie, Pennsylvania's ZIP code 18062 at number ten. All three Midwest ZIP codes also appeared on the list in 2023, indicating a growing interest in these areas.
