32-year-old Virginia woman, Amanda Kempton, was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run death that occurred in the Hamptons. The victim, 40-year-old Sara Burack, was a prominent real estate agent who appeared on Netflix's "Million Dollar Beach House." Burack was found unconscious on the side of Montauk Highway near Villa Paul restaurant early Thursday and later died.

    Kempton faces charges of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, a class D felony punishable by up to four years in prison. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with the Southampton Town Police Department and the New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit working together.

    Burack was known for her work in high-end properties and had previously worked for Nest Seekers International. She was also recognized for her charitable efforts in New York City, particularly through fundraising initiatives. Family friends described her as an "amazing person who really cared for people" and a hardworking real estate agent who was loved by many.

    The incident occurred just days after Burack appeared on the Netflix reality show, where she competed against other luxury real estate agents. Kempton is set to be arraigned on Saturday in connection with the charges.
