e're seeking a skilled real estate reporter to cover commercial property markets across Europe from our London office. The ideal candidate will have excellent news judgement and a strong network of sources, with the ability to connect individual transactions to broader market trends.

    You'll need to be able to break news quickly and dig into complex topics for in-depth investigations. Building relationships with top industry players, including landlords, investors, and developers, is crucial to unpicking key themes shaping the market.

    As a Bloomberg reporter, you'll write for a sophisticated financial audience, identifying stories that reveal how global economic and geopolitical trends impact real estate investment decisions. Understanding all aspects of the real estate investment process is vital, from asset allocation to financing and restructuring.

    Collaborating with our global team of reporters will be key, as well as working with editors specializing in other asset classes. You'll leverage Bloomberg's global newsroom and multiple platforms to amplify your work across various formats.

    We're looking for someone who can:

    * Break news on European real estate investment trends

    * Make swift judgement calls to identify the most important stories

    * Produce engaging stories that resonate with diverse audiences

    * Work effectively with reporters and editors across the newsroom

    * Maintain a culture of innovation and develop new ways to capture readers' imagination

    To succeed, you'll need:

    * A track record of breaking scoops and some level of financial knowledge

    * At least three years of reporting experience

    * Strong writing skills for both fast-breaking stories and in-depth investigations

    * Sound news judgement and the ability to look beyond obvious storylines

    * The capacity to excel in a fast-paced global environment and meet urgent deadlines
