latinum Properties, a boutique New York City-based brokerage, has appointed industry veteran Karen Gastiaburo as its new sales director. She replaces Melissa True, who parted ways with the firm in August after two years as sales director. True will continue to work with Platinum on a consulting basis.
Gastiaburo brings decades of experience to her new role, having started her real estate career at William B. May Company and later working at Warburg Realty, Town Residential, Halstead, Brown Harris Stevens, and Christie's International Real Estate Group. She plans to manage the firm's agents while continuing to sell real estate when opportunities arise.
Platinum Properties' co-founder Dezireh Eyn stated that Gastiaburo is a "game-changer" who will help scale operations while preserving the firm's close-knit culture. In her new role, Gastiaburo aims to groom rental agents into sales people and provide guidance on negotiations, client meetings, and other aspects of real estate transactions.
The brokerage has experienced significant success in recent years, including a record-breaking condo deal at The Huron in Greenpoint and several high-profile commercial deals. With over 75 agents, Platinum Properties continues to grow under the leadership of Eyn and Gastiaburo.
