lorida Atlantic University’s College of Business will host a finance and real‑estate conference in Boca Raton on November 13‑14, 2025, as South Florida solidifies its reputation as “Wall Street South.” The event will convene scholars and practitioners from the Federal Reserve and universities across the United States—including Maryland, Texas, Florida, Florida State, Florida International, South Florida, Mississippi, Houston, Miami, Kentucky, Rice, Cornell, and Auburn—to discuss current market trends, the rise of AI in finance, and the state of the economy.
Keynote speaker Alok Kumar, Ph.D., Gabelli Asset Management Chair at Miami Herbert Business School, will present “The Inflation Gamble” on Friday, November 14 at 8:15 a.m. in the College of Business, Schmidt Family Complex. A panel titled “Fannie and Freddie: Past, Present and Future” will feature former officials and researchers from Fannie Mae and the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
Additional sessions on residential and commercial real‑estate will include “Unlocking the Future of Real Estate” on November 13 at 1 p.m., with speakers Ryan Greenblatt, Randy I. Anderson, Ph.D., Scott Hughes, Joshua Harris, Ph.D., Stace Sirmans, Ph.D., and Ken H. Johnson, Ph.D.
Dean Daniel Gropper, Ph.D., said the conference will address the most pressing issues in financial services and real‑estate markets and showcase South Florida’s growing influence in the industry.
