T
hree historic properties in the Finger Lakes region of New York have been transferred to Capriotti Properties, a company that specializes in managing and restoring Victorian-era homes. The properties, Montour House, The Flats on Broadway, and Water Works Center, are located in Watkins Glen and Montour Falls and offer a mix of historic charm and modern design.

Montour House, originally built as the Canal Hotel in 1854, features 11 apartments above four commercial units, including a cafe. The building has undergone significant restoration work and has received multiple preservation awards. The Flats on Broadway, once the Montour Falls Union School, offers 14 apartments and a commercial space with sleek interiors near the Catherine Valley Trail.

Water Works Center, situated on the edge of Seneca Lake, features seven apartments with lakefront views in a building that was once the municipal light and water plant. Capriotti Properties has a proven track record of restoring historic homes to their former glory while maintaining their unique character.

The sale of the properties was facilitated by CBRE, a real estate and investment firm based in Dallas, Texas. The team at CBRE recognized the buyer's understanding of the historic value and potential of the properties, which are situated in an area known for its natural beauty, vineyards, and tourism attractions like Watkins Glen International Speedway.

"The purchaser demonstrated a deep appreciation for the uniqueness of these properties and their potential to thrive in this scenic region," said Zach McHale, a member of the CBRE team. "We believe that Capriotti Properties is well-positioned to steward these assets and unlock their full potential."
