letcher Jones Management Group has leased a 136,000-square-foot warehouse and office building in Irvine's Irvine Commerce Center. The Las Vegas-based company, which owns the largest collection of Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the US, will occupy the building at 18582 Teller Avenue. Developed by Ares Industrial Management on speculation earlier this year, the facility will be used as a pre-delivery inspection center for vehicle sales. Here, up to 125 vehicles per day will undergo detailing and photography, as well as thorough inspections.
Fletcher Jones plans to upgrade the building with 19,600 square feet of offices, 47,500 square feet for vehicle repairs, and 69,600 square feet for warehousing, distribution, and storage. The company operates its flagship Mercedes-Benz dealership just a few blocks away in Newport Beach. Additionally, Fletcher Jones owns several other dealerships across Southern California, including Mercedes-Benz of Ontario, Audi Beverly Hills, and Porsche Long Beach.
Ares Industrial Management, the building's owner, is an alternative investment manager with $447 billion in assets under management, including $68 billion tied to real estate. The company has 35 offices worldwide.
