al Alexander's wife, Arielle Kogut, has filed for divorce amid the scandal surrounding her husband and his brothers. Tal, 38, and Oren Alexander, 37, are high-profile real estate agents accused of drugging and sexually assaulting dozens of women in multiple states. Their brother Alon Alexander, Oren's identical twin, was also arrested.
In a statement through her attorney, Kogut said she will prioritize their young child's well-being as she leaves her husband. Prosecutors allege the brothers conspired to sex traffic victims since at least 2010, with some incidents dating back over 20 years. Investigators have interviewed over 40 women who reported being forcibly raped or sexually assaulted by one of the Alexander Brothers.
Law enforcement found "trophies" in Tal's apartment, including explicit photos and videos showing women in states of intoxication and undress. Prosecutors argue that the brothers' conduct suggests they have not closed the door on their crimes. The three brothers were charged with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and separate counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion.
Defense attorneys claim the relationships between the brothers and alleged victims were consensual. A judge has scheduled a status conference for January 29, where the Alexander brothers will likely be housed at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
