Florida Realtors, Japan-America Real Estate Coalition Deepen Ties

Subsidiary of Japan Airlines launches nonstop flights from Florida to Asia amid new partnership.

F
lorida Realtors has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Japan‑America Real Estate Coalition Office (JARECO), deepening ties and opening new business avenues for real‑estate professionals in both states. The agreement will prioritize joint professional development, exchange of market intelligence, and global outreach initiatives. Both parties pledge to uphold high ethical standards, promote professionalism, and foster innovation in the international property sector.

The MoU was signed in Tokyo during a joint meeting of the Southeast U.S.–Japan Association. Florida Realtors President Tim Weisheyer and JARECO Chairman Masayuki Nakagawa sealed the deal, noting that the partnership will broaden collaboration, learning, and investment opportunities between Florida and Japan. Weisheyer highlighted the growing global connections of Florida’s real‑estate market and expressed pride in strengthening the link between the two regions.

JARECO, founded in 2013, connects the National Association of Realtors with five major Japanese real‑estate bodies, representing hundreds of thousands of agents. The signing comes amid heightened economic and travel links, including ZIPAIR’s announcement of nonstop flights between Orlando International Airport and Tokyo Narita, scheduled to begin in February with four round‑trip charters.

“We understand the value of international connectivity,” Weisheyer said, recalling his tenure as Greater Orlando Aviation Authority chairman. “These new flights, coupled with this partnership, will reinforce business and real‑estate ties between Florida and Japan. With direct air links and rising cross‑border investment interest, Florida Realtors is excited to help members seize global opportunities.”
