F
loyd Mayweather Jr., the retired boxing champion and real estate investor, has sold his Miami Beach waterfront mansion for $22 million. The property, located at 288 South Coconut Lane, was sold to a company managed by Morris Betesh through Mayweather's Fojoso LLC. Records show that the buying entity, 288 SC LLC, assumed Mayweather's $13 million mortgage with Hankey Capital as the lender.
The sale appears to have been an off-market transaction. Mayweather likely made a profit on the sale, considering he purchased the nine-bedroom, 10.5-bathroom estate for $18 million in 2021. The property features an indoor movie theater, gym, dock, pool, and space for about 10 cars.
Mayweather has been actively investing in commercial real estate, including a recent investment in 601W Companies' $10 billion portfolio of office buildings. He also previously invested over $100 million with SL Green and went into contract on a $402 million apartment portfolio in New York. With an estimated earnings of $1.1 billion from his boxing career and business ventures, Mayweather continues to expand his real estate investments.
