Fox News Anchor Lists D.C. Home for Sale at $6.4 Million

Veteran Broadcaster Chris Wallace Lists Kalorama Home for Sale.

V
eteran broadcaster Chris Wallace is parting ways with his Kalorama neighborhood home, a stunning 1929 Georgian Revival mansion, which he and his wife Lorraine have called home since purchasing it for $1.1 million in 1997. The CNN anchor announced his departure from the network on Tuesday, and now he's also leaving behind this grand estate, listed for $6.4 million.

The 7,000-square-foot property boasts four bedrooms, a grand entrance with classic columns, and formal rooms perfect for entertaining Washington's elite. Chris Wallace fondly recalls hosting high-profile figures like Sen. Ted Kennedy and Justice Antonin Scalia at the home, as well as sipping wine with friend George Clooney.

After nearly three decades of residence, the Wallaces plan to make their Annapolis, Maryland property their primary residence, where Lorraine operates a small business supplying fresh produce to local eateries. They'll maintain a smaller home in DC, but will be leaving behind the historic Kalorama neighborhood, which Chris Wallace describes as a unique blend of power players across the political spectrum.

The home's design balances elegance and comfort, with an expansive living room featuring a bay window and 18th-century marble fireplace mantel. The second floor offers private bedrooms and a cozy office, while the lower level is equipped with a gym and guest suite. Despite minimal changes over the years, the kitchen was remodeled by Lorraine, a cookbook author.

Chris Wallace's departure from CNN marks a new chapter in his career, as he aims to pivot from cable news to explore opportunities in podcasting and streaming. The listing for the Kalorama home is being handled by Michael Rankin of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty.
