From Humble Beginnings to $26M: Libby Sosinski's Real Estate Success Story

A chance meeting launched a decades-long career with Keller Williams in western Pennsylvania.

L
ibby Sosinski, a top-producing Keller Williams agent in Pittsburgh, was on the verge of leaving real estate 21 years ago. However, her career took a dramatic turn when she met an agent who hired her as his assistant and introduced her to Keller Williams. This encounter marked a turning point for Sosinski, who found a more supportive environment at Keller Williams compared to her previous brokerage.

Sosinski's journey in Pittsburgh is also a testament to serendipity. She moved to the city from Washington D.C. with her family after realizing she didn't want to raise her kids there. While searching for an apartment, she stopped two women on the street who pointed her to a building that became her home.

Today, Sosinski consistently closes over 200 deals per year and has achieved $26 million-plus in sales volume in 2024. Her best year was 318 transactions, although at lower price points due to her focus on foreclosures. The Pittsburgh market has seen significant fluctuations, but Sosinski attributes her success to her adaptability and ability to "roll with the punches."

Sosinski's advice for new agents is to find a specialty that sets them apart from others. She credits her own specialization in foreclosures and investment properties for helping her carve out a niche in the market. Despite the ups and downs of the industry, Sosinski remains grateful and blessed, living by the mantra of "right time, right place."
