From Roots to Rooftops: Music and Real Estate Shape Greenhaw's Legacy

From Music to Real Estate: Neil Greenhaw's Passion for Creation

N
eil Greenhaw is a creative force in multiple fields - music and real estate development. As a songwriter at heart, he found parallels between crafting songs and building communities through his work in real estate.

After earning a music degree from John Brown University, Greenhaw moved to Nashville where he toured with a gospel R&B band for three years before returning to Northwest Arkansas in 2007. He founded Haxton Road Studios in 2010 with a modest investment and transformed it into a thriving business that provided professional recordings for artists and hosted notable clients like Robin Thicke.

In 2020, Greenhaw was named to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal's Forty Under 40 class. However, he has since decided to close Haxton Road Studios at the end of the year to focus on real estate development through his company, Greenhaw Development Co., which he owns with his wife Lauren.

Their properties include multi-level commercial buildings in downtown Bentonville and luxury rentals. A new pocket neighborhood will offer single-family homes priced between $1.2 million and $1.4 million, while a future project will provide 30,000 to 40,000 square feet of commercial space in a six-story building.

Greenhaw's interest in real estate was sparked by his experience developing the Haxton Road building. He now aims to create meaningful places where community can happen and is driven by a mission to foster culture, quality, and excellence. A future passion project involves developing homes for senior adults who want to live downtown but may struggle with stairs or steps.

As he transitions out of the studio recording business, Greenhaw looks forward to writing music as a personal passion and joy, rather than a business venture. Giving back is also essential to him and his wife Lauren, who support local charities like Saving Grace through their time and resources.
