G
eorge Clooney is parting ways with his Studio City home, selling it for $14.5 million to a mystery buyer from the entertainment industry. The 7,000-square-foot estate on Iredell Lane in Fryman Canyon boasts six bedrooms and six bathrooms, set amidst three acres of lush grounds featuring a sports court and pool. Westside Estate Agency's Kurt Rappaport represented Clooney in the sale, while Carolwood Estates' Kevin Dees represented the buyer.
The property has been a long-term holding for Clooney, who purchased it from Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks in 1995 for $2.2 million. At the time, he was riding high on the success of "ER," which catapulted him to fame. In a 2012 interview, Clooney recalled buying the home as a way to escape paparazzi attention.
Major renovations were completed last fall, adding two villas and reportedly costing $1 million. The sale is just one part of Clooney's extensive real estate portfolio, which includes properties in New York, Italy, and France.
