he Antetokounmpo family, led by Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, has made a significant investment in prime real estate in Athens. In partnership with Premia Properties, they acquired the Village Shopping & More center in Rentis for €14.1 million.
Renovations will begin immediately to transform the shopping center into a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment hub. Spanning 49,000 square meters on a 36,000-square-meter plot, the property currently operates as an entertainment park with a cinema as its main attraction.
The Antetokounmpo family's investment aims to upgrade the complex into a premier destination for families and younger visitors. Giannis Antetokounmpo expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that it is one of the most important investments they've made in Greece so far. He hopes to create unforgettable experiences for visitors and their families.
For Giannis' brother Thanasis, this decision holds emotional significance as well as a desire to promote athletics. The family's plans are focused on expanding their presence in the sports sector while giving back to their hometown of Athens.
