rett Berish, CEO of Sovereign Brands, has sold his Glencoe mansion for $6.45 million. The six-bedroom residence at 346 Grove Street was listed in September 2023 for $7.5 million but sold for 87% of that price, or $537 per square foot. The property spans 12,000 square feet and sits on 1.85 acres, featuring high-end amenities like a pool, theater, and indoor basketball half-court.
Berish purchased the estate in 2017 from Groupon co-founder Eric Lefkofsky for $431 per square foot. The sale was handled by Margie Brooks of Baird & Warner, while Dena Fox represented the buyer, whose identity remains undisclosed. This transaction marks one of the year's most prominent sales in the Chicago-area luxury market.
The sale brings the total number of homes sold for over $4 million in the Chicago region to 93 this year, a significant increase from last year's 73 sales at that price point. Another notable sale in Glencoe was a 9,600-square-foot mansion that fetched $8.2 million, making it one of the priciest transactions in the area this year. Berish and his wife maintain residences in Manhattan, Long Island, and Florida.
