Florida mansion with resort-style amenities seeks $1.75M buyer

La Serenidad" blends mid-century design with Southeast Asian flair at 2020 NE 3rd Terrace.

S
tyx co-founder and bassist Charles "Chuck" Panozzo is selling his serene oasis in Wilton Manors, Florida for $1.75 million. The mid-century home, located at 2020 NE 3rd Terrace, exudes a unique blend of Southeast Asian and South Florida flair.

Panozzo, who is gay and has been open about living with HIV, purchased the property in 2007 for $305,000. The two-bedroom, three-bath home was built in 1952 and features 1,608 square feet of living space, including a home office/convertible bedroom, landscaped garden, and pool.

"This house is special to me because of its magic," Panozzo said. "Every area became an environment that I could explore depending on my mood – whether I needed to relax, reflect or turn up the volume after touring."

The property's design details include wood finishes and an indoor/outdoor flow, while the landscaped backyard boasts fountains, coral-lined walkways, teak sculptures, bonsai trees, and animal-shaped hedges. Most of the sculptures and art are included in the sale.

Panozzo is listing the home for sale, but he's not leaving Fort Lauderdale. He plans to move to a new luxury building in the downtown area, drawn by the city's "beautiful mix of natural beauty and cultural energy." Despite his love for the property, Panozzo feels it's time for him to return to high-rise living and take on a new challenge with a downtown balcony view.
