When the world shut down in 2020, she was just beginning a new chapter. Launching a real‑estate career during the pandemic seemed daunting, but for Gloria it became an adventure that revealed her purpose and a deep bond with the region.

    She jokes that she started the journey from the wrong angle. “Houses were flying off the shelves like toilet paper during hurricane season,” she says. “I thought, ‘Wow, this is easy! Why didn’t I think of it sooner?’” What began as a whirlwind turned into a lifelong calling to help people find the place they truly belong.

    A natural connector, Gloria has always been a matchmaker—whether setting up friends or business partners. Real‑estate felt like the perfect extension of that gift. “Selling a home to someone fits perfectly into that part of my personality,” she says. Her enthusiasm for the Space Coast is contagious. She loves sharing the lifestyle that makes the area special: family‑friendly neighborhoods, a thriving tech and space industry, and endless outdoor activities along the ocean, rivers, and canals. “We live in one of the most beautiful environments in Florida,” she says. “It’s perfect for families, professionals, or anyone who loves sunshine and adventure.”

    Gloria’s story began far from Cocoa and Merritt Island. Born in Russia, she emigrated to New York at a young age and grew up amid the city’s creativity. While attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, she met her husband, a pilot who shared her dream of a new beginning in a warm, welcoming place. That dream led them to Florida’s Space Coast, known among aviators as “Pilot Island.” They first moved to Merritt Island twelve years ago and later to Cocoa Beach just before their second child was born.

    Today, the Dicksons raise two children—an 11‑year‑old daughter and a 7‑year‑old son—along with a four‑year‑old Labrador and a rescued five‑year‑old cat. Their weekends are spent outdoors, learning to surf or exploring the area’s natural beauty. “Brevard County was the right choice for our family,” Gloria says. “It’s safe, full of top‑rated schools, and the great outdoors is always calling.”

    Gloria can’t help but fall in love with Brevard County. From tranquil waterways to vibrant history, she paints a picture that feels like an invitation to live a richer, fuller life. “The Intracoastal waterways are full of life—perfect for fishing or cruising at sunset,” she says. “It’s not as densely populated as other major cities, but it’s still close to Orlando, the airport, and the theme parks.” She appreciates the region’s balance—history, innovation, and community coexist. “From prehistoric settlements to space exploration, this area has always been about discovery,” she smiles. “Never a dull moment here.”

    After trying different brokerages early in her career, Gloria learned that success in real‑estate isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all. The right environment can make all the difference.
