he Department of Government Efficiency's (DOGE) lease terminations have yielded an estimated $268.7 million in annual savings and freed up nearly 9.6 million square feet of space. However, a closer look at the data reveals significant disparities in government real estate management. The average annual lease payment per location is $359,161, or approximately $28.02 per square foot. Yet, upon further examination, extreme variations and anomalies become apparent, warranting more detailed scrutiny.
