The Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth Announces Commercial Real Estate Award Winners

he Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth (REC of GFW) is proud to announce the winners of four prestigious awards that recognize exceptional contributions to the Council, commercial real estate, and the community. The 2025 Annual Meeting on April 3 celebrated the achievements of these honorees, who were selected by the awards committee for their impactful leadership and dedication.

    The Outstanding Young Leader Award went to Mitchell Parker, Co-Founder and Partner at MainStreet Partners and Founder of Rapt Properties. As Co-Chair of the Young Leaders Steering Committee, Parker's commitment to developing leadership growth within the Real Estate Council earned him this distinction.

    LaMonica Smith, a Planning Assistant for Transportation Impact in Development Services for the City of Fort Worth, received the Excellence Award for her dedication to customer service and commitment to enhancing the culture of the city. Bowie Holland, President of Empire Holdings, was honored with the Danny Scarth Member Impact Award for his efforts to improve development processes and strengthen collaboration across stakeholders.

    Tom Galbreath, a 39-year veteran of Dunaway, received the Susan A. Halsey Founder's Award for his transformative role in shaping the Real Estate Council and the community. Former Mayor Kenneth Barr praised Galbreath's leadership, saying it has driven urban development initiatives and expanded Dunaway's capabilities across Texas.

    "Our community is stronger because of these leaders," said Travis Clegg, Chairman of the Board for REC of GFW. "Their dedication to Fort Worth, Arlington, and Tarrant County is truly inspiring."
