Gucci Executive Christophe Marque Buys $4.2M NYC Penthouse

The residence at 420 E. 75th St. exudes stylish elegance naturally.

G
ucci's new president and CEO for the Americas, Christophe Marque, has purchased a luxury apartment in Manhattan's Upper East Side. The three-bedroom, 3.5-bath unit was listed for $4.49 million but sold for around $4.2 million.

The residence is located at 420 E. 75th St., a boutique seven-story building with just six units that was completed earlier this year. The 2,350-square-foot turnkey home takes up a full floor and features two private balconies, as well as a formal library and an open great room for entertaining.

The kitchen is equipped with a 10-foot island, a trash chute, and a hidden walk-in pantry. The primary bedroom suite boasts a spa-like bath with radiant heat and a south-facing balcony. Building amenities include a landscaped roof deck, residents' library, double-height lounge, private garden, gym, pet spa, and bike room.

Marque's purchase comes as Gucci gears up for a reboot, according to reports. He began working at Gucci in April and is reportedly an integral part of the new management team brought in by CEO Stefano Cantino. Marque previously held top roles at DFS Group and L'Oréal Luxe, working with luxury brands like Hermès and Lancôme.

The listing was handled by Tom Postillo and Mickey Conlin of Compass, while Marque was represented by Matt Cohen of Brown Harris Stevens.
