illionaire real estate mogul Michael Fuchs is putting his Hamptons estate, 797 Meadow Lane, on the market for $44 million. The move comes as Fuchs navigates a rough patch in his business and personal life. He recently lost control of Manhattan's iconic Chrysler Building after a bitter legal battle with Cooper Union.
Fuchs purchased the Southampton property in 2014 for $6 million from the Elgort family, who are known for their photography and acting talents. The estate spans 3.2 acres, boasting 406 feet of Shinnecock Bay frontage, a heated pool, tennis court, and ocean access just across the street.
The main house features 4,600 square feet with seven bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, plus a two-bedroom boathouse ripe for development. The listing touts its "rare opportunity" in a prime spot minutes from Southampton Village. Bespoke Real Estate has the listing but declined to comment.
Fuchs' woes extend beyond his Hamptons estate. He and business partner Aby Rosen were recently ordered to vacate the Chrysler Building by January 27 after a Manhattan judge ruled against them in a dispute over back rent. RFR Holding, co-founded by Fuchs, owed Cooper Union more than $21 million in unpaid rent.
Fuchs has also been dealing with personal issues, including a brutal divorce from his French ex-wife, Alvina Collardeau-Fuchs, which resulted in a $44.1 million settlement. The couple lived in a six-story London mansion before their marriage imploded.
