A
former high-ranking housing official has made a stunning claim that the US government secretly built an underground "city" where the wealthy and powerful can hide in case of a catastrophic event. Catherine Austin Fitts, who served under President George H.W. Bush, made the allegations on Tucker Carlson's podcast.
Fitts cited research by economist Mark Skidmore, who found $21 trillion in unauthorized spending at the Defense and Housing departments between 1998 and 2015. She believes this money was used to build a network of secret underground facilities, including bases beneath oceans.
According to Fitts, there are approximately 170 such facilities in the US alone, with a transportation system connecting them. She claims that some of these bases could be used for "secret" projects, such as a space program. Carlson shared his own experience, claiming he knew someone who worked on one of these facilities in Washington D.C.
Fitts also believes the government has developed a new energy source to power these underground cities. She pointed out that some high-speed ships are not using traditional electricity, suggesting that this technology exists.
The claims come as a company called SAFE is building a luxury doomsday bunker in Virginia, offering AI-powered medical care and wellness programs for its members. The facility will cost $20 million per person to join, with plans to build similar bunkers across the US.
