att Laricy, Chicago's top residential broker of 2024, has opened his first suburban office in Hinsdale, a move aimed at catering to clients who outgrow the city and seek luxury homes in the surrounding areas. Laricy's team has been referring millions of dollars' worth of business to suburban brokers, prompting him to establish a presence where his clients are likely to go next.

    "We've referred over $250 million in the suburbs over the past four years," Laricy said. "It doesn't make sense to keep sending that business elsewhere." His team's focus on lower-to-mid-range luxury sales has allowed them to dominate Chicago's market, and expanding into the suburbs is a natural progression of their work.

    The new office will serve Hinsdale and surrounding areas like Burr Ridge, Oak Park, and Western Springs. Laricy Team brokers Kelsey Bischoff, Tyler Morgan, and Catherine Holbrook will run the suburban operation. The affluent western suburb has seen a surge in demand, with one home recently listed for $7.3 million before being pulled from the market.

    Strong buyer interest, even at higher price points, made Hinsdale an attractive choice for Laricy's team. "If we're going to enter a suburban area, we want to go into the most sought-after one," he said. The goal is to establish a strong presence in Hinsdale before expanding to other areas, potentially including the North Shore within a couple of years.
