bby Halliday Companies marked its 80th year with a high‑energy summit that turned nearly 1,000 agents from North and East Texas into a live drumline inside the Winspear Opera House. Volunteers handed each agent an engraved drumstick, and the event culminated with keynote speaker Clint Pulver—Emmy‑winning motivational speaker, author, and drummer—leading a thunderous finale. Lights flickered and the hall echoed with the rhythm of Ebby Halliday Realtors, Dave Perry‑Miller Real Estate, and Williams Trew agents, turning the opera house into a rock‑concert vibe.
Earlier sessions tackled how next‑year economics could shape the market and how luxury‑market agents nationwide use relationships, creativity, and strategy to stay ahead. “The EHC Summit is always one of the most energizing days of the year,” said President Betsy Cameron. “This year, our agents left with fresh strategies, market insights, and renewed pride in the Ebby Halliday legacy.”
Meanwhile, Preston Hollow’s prominent corner is set for a $650 million mixed‑use redevelopment. Dallas firms Burk Interests and Greenway Investment Company seek a zoning change for the southwest corner of Preston Road and Royal Lane. The plan calls for a 28‑story hotel‑condo tower, a 24‑story residential building, upscale restaurants, modern office space, and over 100 new trees, with groundbreaking slated for 2028. Greenway has yet to respond to inquiries. Compiled by William Taylor and Claudia Carson‑Habeeb.
