he Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) has expanded its real estate manager roster with new commitments totaling $100m. The investments were made in response to a request for proposal issued last October, and include:
* A $50m commitment to the Pretium Affordable Single-Family Rental Fund
* $25m each to the S2 Real Estate Fund II and Mesirow Financial Real Estate Value Fund V funds
Pretium Partners focuses on growing suburban areas in over 30 US markets, targeting communities with 50-150 homes. Meanwhile, S2 Capital is seeking to raise $600m for its Fund II, a US multi-family property fund. Mesirow's Fund V aims to acquire Class A and B multi-family properties across the US, with a target of $1.2bn in fundraising.
