Inside Utah's Luxury Market": A Glimpse at "Sold on SLC"'s High-Stakes Real Estate Drama

New reality TV series joins Utah's growing list of productions.

U
tah's spotlight moment continues with Sold on SLC, a reality show blending Million Dollar Listing and the local LDS community. The series follows Presidio Real Estate CEO Jennifer Yeo as she navigates her business and agents' personalities.

The cast includes Tyna Edwards and Matt Jones, whose drama unfolds throughout the season. Sarah Martindale's loyalty is also put to the test due to her husband Chris working for a rival brokerage. Other featured agents include Malaysia Fua, who returned to Presidio after initially leaving, and top seller Kenny Sperry.

Jennifer Yeo shares insights into Sold on SLC: "It took about a year-and-a-half to develop this show, but I'm thrilled it's finally coming out." She notes that the timing is perfect, given Utah's current focus. The state boasts high real estate prices, beautiful landscapes, and a unique blend of luxury homes accommodating large families.

As Yeo manages her agents' varying personalities, she emphasizes that drama is common in real estate due to its competitive nature. Viewers will witness firsthand the interactions between Tyna and Matt, as well as Sarah's journey as she proves herself despite initial reservations.

The show also explores Malaysia's return to Presidio after leaving for another firm, and Kenny's impressive sales skills. Yeo mentions a crossover episode featuring RHOSLC's Lisa Barlow but keeps other client appearances under wraps.

As the CEO of a Utah-based real estate company, Yeo navigates the unique market influenced by the LDS community. She notes that people are increasingly leaving or redefining their connection to the church, making for an interesting dynamic in the show.

Yeo is a fan of reality TV and has watched other shows like The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Her husband Darin is also supportive of her endeavors, loving the idea of the show. When asked about what viewers can expect from Sold on SLC, Yeo jokes that they'll learn the "Jen Commandments," including always selling.

The series offers an authentic look at luxury listings in Salt Lake City, featuring unique homes with features like multiple laundry rooms and slides. A major plot twist involving Matt is teased, promising surprise revelations throughout the season.

Sold on SLC premieres December 4 on Bravo (next day on Peacock).
