eal estate investor sentiment has rebounded after a two-quarter decline, according to the Summer 2025 RCN Capital/CJ Patrick Company Investor Sentiment Index. The index rose by 16% from its two-year low of 88 in the Spring to a score of 102, driven by improvements in current market conditions and anticipated trends over the next six months. Despite this increase, the index remains lower than last year's score of 116.
The percentage of investors viewing today's market as better or much better than it was a year ago increased from 31% to 48%, while those who saw no change dropped from 34% to 26%. Only 25% felt market conditions had worsened, down from 34%.
Investors are slightly more optimistic about the future, with 49% expecting an improvement in the next six months, 30% anticipating stability, and only 20% predicting a decline. The RCN Capital/CJ Patrick Company Investor Sentiment Index tracks investor sentiment across the country, gauging their market outlook through four key questions.
The index score rose from 88 to 102, with three of the four metrics showing quarter-over-quarter improvement: current market views up by 15 points, future market outlook up by 18 points, and expected price increases up by six points. Plans to buy properties declined by seven points as more investors planned to maintain their current pace.
