amee Jolly has been appointed as the new president and CEO of The Real Estate Council (TREC), a position she will assume after serving as president and executive director of Uptown Dallas Inc. Jolly brings over 20 years of nonprofit experience to the role, having previously worked at TREC in a lobbying and public affairs capacity.
As the largest commercial real estate organization in Texas, TREC represents over 2,000 professionals and 600 companies annually. Its mission is to foster relationships within the industry, drive community investment, influence policy, and develop future leaders. "Relationships are the lifeblood of career success, civic responsibility, and community investment," said TREC officials.
Jolly succeeds Linda McMahon, who left TREC in May after 13 years to become CEO of the Dallas Economic Development Corporation. Summer Loveland served as interim CEO during the search process. Jolly expressed her excitement about returning to TREC and working with its team, board leaders, members, and community partners to further the organization's legacy.
Jolly has a long history in public service, including an eight-year stint at the Plano ISD Education Foundation and leadership roles at the Plano Chamber of Commerce. She also ran for the Texas House of Representatives District 70 seat in 2022 but lost by less than 1,000 votes.
TREC's board chairman, Mike Geisler, described Jolly as a "perfect fit" to lead the organization due to her experience and ability to drive impactful solutions. Under Jolly's leadership at Uptown Dallas Inc., the district achieved significant public enhancement and community engagement milestones. Her tenure at TREC included managing the Klyde Warren Park initiative, one of the organization's most notable impact investments.
Jolly has also served on various boards and committees, including the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives, the Texas Association of Business, and the 2020 Census Complete Count Committee for the City of Plano. She is a Leadership Plano Class 30 Graduate and was named to the Collin County 40 Under 40 list by the Collin County Business Press.
