A
Manhattan penthouse that once belonged to pop icon Justin Timberlake and actress‑turned‑wife Jessica Biel has reappeared on the market, according to a brief StreetEasy update. The 4‑bedroom, 5,300‑sq‑ft unit at 443 Greenwich St. was listed for $39.99 million on Monday, but was pulled from the market by Tuesday after the brokerage was contacted.

The building, a former book‑binding factory now a 53‑unit luxury complex, has long attracted A‑list residents. Timberlake and Biel bought the penthouse in 2017 for $20.18 million and sold it off‑market in 2021 for $29 million to an investor linked to Menemshovitz NY Realty Inc. The investor tried to resell it for $35 million shortly thereafter, but no sale materialized. The latest listing marks the highest price ever set for the unit.

443 Greenwich has been a celebrity hotspot since its debut. In 2017, the address drew headlines when Meg Ryan, Jake Gyllenhaal, Mike Myers, Jennifer Lawrence, Ryan Reynolds, and Blake Lively all purchased homes there. Gyllenhaal sold his unit for $14 million off‑market in August; Myers sold his for $14.65 million in 2017; Lawrence sold her rented property for $9.8 million in 2023; and Ryan remains a homeowner in the building.

Privacy is a key selling point. The building features a sensor‑controlled, 24‑hour gated garage that drops residents into a lower‑level parking area, keeping paparazzi and passersby at bay. “That’s the ultimate privacy,” said Mitchell Wasser, director of marketing and sales at MetroLoft, the developer, in 2017.

The Timberlake‑Biel penthouse boasts a 2,646‑sq‑ft terrace landscaped by Edmund Hollander, complete with European hornbeam trees, trellised patios, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. Inside, historic wood beams mingle with contemporary touches: a Christopher Peacock kitchen, Savant home automation, and Calacatta marble bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own ensuite, and the duplex is connected by a white‑oak and glass staircase. The open dining and lounge areas are bathed in natural light from large windows, and a fireplace on the upper level opens onto the terrace.

Other affluent residents include Microsoft heiress Jennifer Gates, who shares a triplex penthouse with her family. The building’s interior design emphasizes both elegance and functionality, with a focus on natural materials and modern amenities.

The listing’s representatives—Noble Black, Cory Cahlon, and Matthew Mackay of Corcoran—were noted on the now‑off‑market page. The unit’s removal from the market came after The Post reached out to the brokerage, and the listing no longer appears on Corcoran’s website.

In short, the 443 Greenwich penthouse, once a celebrity enclave, has returned to the market at a record price, only to be temporarily withdrawn. The building’s blend of privacy, luxury, and high‑profile ownership continues to make it a coveted address in Manhattan.
