T
he Kali Hotel and Rooftop, a $300 million project by KPC Development Co., has topped out its structural frame; the 12‑story, 300‑room hotel will open September 2026 and is the only lodging permitted under the Hollywood Park Specific Plan, which also hosts a 300‑acre mixed‑use complex led by Rams owner Stan Kroenke.
John Petty, KPC’s vice‑president of real‑estate and construction, said they were honored that Stan chose them to develop the sole hotel in Hollywood Park and that working with the area’s experts has been an amazing experience. The nearby Hollywood Park Studios, recently broken ground, will cement the district as the communications hub for the 2028 Olympics, driving traffic to the hotel.
Targeting guests for the 2027 Super Bowl, the 2028 Summer Games, and other marquee events, the hotel’s proximity to SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater, Intuit Dome, the Forum, and LAX positions it to serve a diverse clientele, with 235 event days and 75 million‑plus LAX passengers each year.
Managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, the Kali joins Marriott Bonvoy’s Autograph Collection, a boutique‑style fit that allows a “grit and glamour” aesthetic. Jeffrey Kim of Lamar Johnson Collaborative and Rob Wells of Sixteenfifty Creative Intelligence delivered a modern façade echoing SoFi Stadium’s lines and a brand identity blending elegance with edge.
Amenities include a helistop, rooftop restaurant and bar, lobby bar, pool, yoga deck, spa, fitness center, and 20,000 sq ft of event space.
This marks KPC Development’s first hospitality project, but the firm plans more: a 6,000‑acre master‑planned community in Coachella, a winery resort in Temecula, and a downtown initiative.
