Home sales in Katy and Fulshear-area ZIP codes rose year over year in May.

he Katy and Fulshear real estate market saw an increase in home sales in May compared to the same month last year. According to data from Homeward, 797 homes were sold in six local ZIP codes, up from 664 in 2024. Four of the six ZIP codes experienced a rise in home sales, with ZIP code 77094 seeing the largest increase at 62.5%. The highest number of home sales occurred in ZIP code 77493, where 365 homes changed hands.

    The median home sales price decreased in four of the six ZIP codes year over year. ZIP code 77094 saw a significant decline of 20.68%, with a median home sale price of $585,000. In contrast, ZIP code 77423 experienced a 5.65% increase in median home sales price.

    The average number of days homes spent on the market decreased in three of the six ZIP codes, indicating faster home sales. ZIP code 77094 had the shortest average time on the market at 38 days for the 13 homes sold, while ZIP code 77423 took an average of 105 days to sell its homes.
