A
Key Biscayne mansion, listed for $26.5 million, has secured a buyer, making it the top residential contract in Miami-Dade County last week. The 8,031-square-foot, six-bedroom home at 180 Cape Florida Drive features a new build from 2018 with luxury amenities like a boat lift, dock, and wine cellar. The property is owned by Gene Stearns, his wife Diana, and their daughter Jennifer Buttrick and her husband Matthew, who purchased it in 1981 for $450,000.
The sale is part of nine contracts marked between September 30 and October 6, totaling over $76.6 million in asking dollar volume. The second most expensive home to enter into contract is a non-waterfront estate in Pinecrest, listed at $12 million. A luxury condo at Jade Signature in Sunny Isles Beach also made the list, priced at just under $5 million.
The average asking price for single-family homes was around $9.5 million, with an average time on market of 177 days. Condos averaged about $1,324 per square foot and spent approximately 95 days on the market. Last week's sales were slower than the previous week in Miami-Dade County, which saw 11 properties sell for a combined $142.6 million. In contrast, New York saw 30 homes sold with an asking price of over $237.3 million, averaging 540 days on the market.
