Lancaster Development Breaks Ground on New Housing and Infrastructure Project

High Real Estate Group breaks ground on new Greenfield project in Lancaster.

H
igh Real Estate Group marked a major milestone with the groundbreaking of its latest residential development in Greenfield, Lancaster. The mixed-use community will feature 600 apartments across four five-story buildings, making it the largest residential project ever approved in East Lampeter Township.

"We're excited to bring much-needed housing and infrastructure to the community," said Mark Fitzgerald, President and COO of High Real Estate Group. "This project is a testament to collaboration between our partners and the public sector."

The development will be built in two phases, with Phase 1 delivering 311 apartments, a pool, and clubhouse. Phase 2 will add 289 apartments and 28 townhomes for rent along Willow Road.

High Associates partnered with East Lampeter Township Supervisors through an $11 million state grant to make the project possible. "This partnership demonstrates our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Lancaster County residents," said Brad Mowbray, senior vice president and managing director of High's Residential Division.

State funding has been instrumental in preparing the site for the new development, which includes demolition, stormwater management, and utility installation. The project is also expected to benefit from a recently completed $22 million investment in the Walnut Street Extension, reducing traffic congestion on Greenfield Road and delivering an early section of the Greater Lancaster Heritage Pathway.
