unck Wilson Mandala, a local law firm, has made the move from suburban sprawl to a headquarters lease in Uptown Dallas. The firm has secured 41,200 square feet across two floors at the Texas Capital Center, located at 2000 McKinney Avenue. Cushman & Wakefield's Campbell Puckett, Johnny Johnson, and Rodney Helm represented the law firm in this deal.
The relocation marks a shift towards a more centralized location with amenities, as professional services firms increasingly opt for urban environments like Uptown. The Texas Capital Center offers proximity to attractions such as Klyde Warren Park and various restaurants and bars. The building also features a virtual courtroom and podcast studio, located in the growing Y'all Street hub.
This move is part of Munck Wilson Mandala's expansion strategy, which includes adding over 100 attorneys to its team in the coming years. The firm serves clients across industries with a focus on technology. In addition to its Uptown headquarters, Munck Wilson Mandala has established a satellite office in Granite Park 3 in Plano.
Despite a high office vacancy rate of around 26% in Dallas, demand remains relatively strong, with about 400,000 square feet absorbed in the fourth quarter and 1.7 million square feet for the year. Leasing activity is sluggish compared to pre-pandemic years, but Munck Wilson Mandala's move reflects a growing trend towards urban office environments.
