In a flurry of executive changes, the Canadian real estate landscape is getting a fresh face. Don Kottick, a seasoned industry veteran with over three decades of experience, has been tapped as the new president of RE/MAX Canada. Set to take the reins on April 28, Kottick will bring his expertise in growing major brands to the table, working closely with Quebec leaders to expand the company's presence across Canada.

Kottick's appointment comes hot on the heels of former President Christopher Alexander's departure after nearly four years at the helm. RE/MAX Holdings CEO Erik Carlson has been leading operations in Canada since March, and is "thrilled" to welcome Kottick to the team. "His experience, strategic vision, and proven success will be invaluable as we continue to lead the way in Canadian market share," Carlson said.

Meanwhile, Sotheby's International Realty has announced Mary Lee Blaylock as its new president of brokerage. With over three decades of industry expertise, Blaylock will oversee 48 offices and over 2,300 affiliated agents across the US, focusing on long-term growth strategies to boost performance in local markets. Her move marks a significant shake-up at HomeServices of America, where Chris Kelly was recently promoted to president and CEO.

Blaylock expressed her admiration for Sotheby's, citing its reputation as a standard-bearer for client representation and marketing luxury homes worldwide. "I look forward to leveraging my expertise and passion to serve the exceptional advisors affiliated with Sotheby's International Realty," she said.

In other news, The Real Brokerage has announced Ravi Jani as its new chief financial officer, replacing Michelle Ressler who was terminated due to policy violations. Jani brings a Wall Street background, having spent over 15 years in investor relations and capital markets before joining Real in 2023. His "financial acumen, market insight, and collaborative approach" have already made an impact on the company, according to Chairman and CEO Tamir Poleg.

As Real continues its rapid growth, Jani will play a key role in driving the next chapter of expansion, margin growth, and value creation. With his appointment, Real has secured a strong financial leader to guide the company through its next phase of development.
