Link Affiliate Sells Fort Lauderdale Building for $19 Million to Trim South Florida Portfolio

L
ink Real Estate has sold The Glass Shop, a three-story office and retail building in Fort Lauderdale, for $19 million to Jewish Culture High School. Located at 105 North Federal Highway, the 36,193-square-foot property was completed in 2019 after Link acquired the site for $7.4 million two years prior. The buyer secured a $12.9 million mortgage from FirstBank Florida and paid approximately $525 per square foot.

The Glass Shop's office component was previously leased to Bond Collective, which provides co-working spaces. Officials at Jewish Culture High School did not comment on whether the building will be used as a new campus in Fort Lauderdale. Link's sale of The Glass Shop leaves it without any commercial assets in the city.

Link focuses on renovating and converting older buildings for office and retail use. In recent years, the firm has sold several properties in South Florida, including The Print Shop in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood to Tri-Star Equities for $19 million. Link still owns three other commercial buildings in Wynwood.

In other Fort Lauderdale deals, social media influencer Patrick Bet-David acquired an office building and plane hangar for $25 million last month, while software company Citrix sold its headquarters for $37 million in a leaseback deal to Maksim Slyusarchuk's entity.
