ichael Pasqualino's Orange County home is a winter wonderland, covered in an astonishing 70,000 holiday lights. As the broker-owner of Door Finder Real Estate in Tustin, California, Pasqualino has been transforming his house into a festive spectacle for over two decades.
Pasqualino's family, including his wife and two children, work tirelessly to create this dazzling display, which attracts between 30,000 to 40,000 visitors each year. Their efforts not only spread holiday cheer but also raise money for various charitable causes. This year, they're collecting funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The Pasqualino family's dedication to their holiday decorations is evident in the intricate details and homemade creations that adorn their home. It takes eight hours a day over 14 days to set up the display, which features a roof coated in colored light bulbs, giant snowflakes, and a towering 20-foot Christmas tree.
Pasqualino's home has earned the nickname "The Christmas Lights in Orange County" and is a beloved local tradition. In recent years, he's used his holiday display as an opportunity to give back to the community, organizing fundraisers and collecting donations for various charities. Last year, they raised over $3,000 for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
Pasqualino credits the advent of LED lights with allowing him to expand his display, which now tops out at 70,000 bulbs. His children have also played a significant role in shaping the display, inspiring homemade creations like giant candy canes and fake snow.
In addition to his own holiday display, Pasqualino has also featured other Christmas light displays throughout Orange County on his real estate website, providing a guide to over 300 decorated homes in the area. He believes that combining his love of real estate with community engagement is a win-win for everyone involved.
