n late October, JJB Holdings, Inc. of Jamestown sold two parcels on Kortwright Road in Busti to Phoenix Group, Inc. for $525,000, where Stateline Speedway is located. The racetrack's new owners, Bill and Lisa Catania, confirmed that their purchase from Jim and Jean Scott and Ronda and Chip Turner had been completed.
Stateline Speedway will kick off its 2025 schedule on April 19 with its 69th opening night, featuring stock cars on the 3/8-mile dirt oval. The speedway has 24 scheduled event dates.
Other notable sales in Chautauqua County include:
* Jamestown Kitchen and Bath, Inc. sold a property at 1085 E. Second St., Jamestown to 1085 E. 2nd Street, LLC of Rochester for $560,000.
* Chautauqua Inns, LTD sold a storefront business property at 11 S. Erie St., Mayville to Craig and Hannah Catalfu for $100,000.
* Ripley Travel Holdings II, LLC purchased two parcels on Shortman Road in Ripley from Randy and Kellie Mattocks for $80,000.
From October 29-31, there were six sales that exceeded $250,000. The remaining top sales include:
* Lot #990, Wiley Ave., Chautauqua Institution sold for $410,000.
* 2822 Heineman Road, Ellery sold for $410,000.
* 2717 Shadyside Road, Mina sold for $380,000.
A total of 48 transactions were recorded during this time period.
