T
he American Real Estate Association (REA) is expanding its reach with the integration of the New York Residential Agent Continuum (NYRAC). The deal, set to finalize by Q1 2025, brings NYRAC's 176 members from prominent brokerages like Compass and Douglas Elliman under the REA umbrella. This strategic move will enable REA to offer expanded resources, deeper connections, and a unified voice for real estate professionals.
According to Jason Haber, co-founder of American REA, no financial transactions are involved in this partnership. The integration is seen as a significant step forward in strengthening REA's mission to support the industry. By joining forces with NYRAC, REA aims to provide its members with enhanced tools and advocacy for key issues affecting real estate professionals.
Haber expressed enthusiasm about working with NYRAC, stating that it marks the first local chapter of American REA, which will expand across the country. The partnership will focus on issue advocacy, policy, education, and other critical aspects of the industry. With over 5,000 members since its launch in January 2024, American REA continues to grow as an alternative to the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
