wo West End homes on Lockgreen Circle were among the top five priciest sales in Richmond last month. The top sale was 4803 Lockgreen Circle, a 9,000-square-foot French Provincial-style house that sold for $2.79 million on May 30. Listed by Maria Brent with The Steele Group | Sotheby's International Realty, the property had been assessed at $2.6 million and last sold in 2003 for $1.24 million.

    The buyer was a revocable trust for Gary and Margaret Piacentini, founder and CEO of CapCenter, a local mortgage and realty company. Their son, Christopher Piacentini, worked the buyer side of the deal. The house features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and two half-baths, with a first-floor primary suite and a vaulted foyer with double staircase.

    A few doors down from the top sale, 4917 Lockgreen Circle sold for $2.12 million on May 23. Listed by Steele Group's Wythe Shockley, the 6,500-square-foot house was bought in 2018 for $1 million and had been listed at its current price since April 4.

    The buyers, Annette Bennett and Ed McLaughlin, were represented by Kay Grubich with Long & Foster. They made an all-cash offer at list price and waived an inspection and appraisal to secure the deal. The sellers, Catherine and Stefan Ianchulev, had owned the house since 2018.

    Three other deals topped $2 million in May, according to the Central Virginia Regional Multiple Listing Service. The second-priciest sale was 37 Old Mill Road, a 4,500-square-foot house near the University of Richmond that sold for just under $2.24 million. No. 3 on the list was 608 Mayfair Ave., a 5,300-square-foot house near St. Christopher's School that sold for $2.23 million.

    Finishing out the top five sales in the No. 5 spot was 8904 Norwick Road, a 6,500-square-foot house in Henrico's Mooreland Farms that sold for just over $2 million.
