Luxury Brands Dominate NYC Office Leases in Recent Month

Six-figure square footage leases signal strong demand in NYC office market.

he NYC office leasing market showed strong enthusiasm last month with several notable leases signed across the five boroughs. While none reached the heights of August's largest lease, two six-figure square footage deals stood out. The top spot was secured by one of these leases, which can be found below.

    1) LVMH | 590 Madison Avenue | Plaza District | 150K sf

    LVMH signed a new lease in the Plaza District building, adding to its existing 150K square feet at 550 Madison Avenue. The company will use this new space as "swing space" during renovations of its other NYC offices.

    2) Chobani | 360 Bowery Street | Noho | 121K sf

    Chobani signed a new lease for the entirety of the Noho building, marking a significant expansion in the area.

    3) Department for the Aging | 14 Wall Street | Financial District | 80K sf

    The city agency moved to a new location in the Financial District, taking floors 11, 12 and 14 within the building owned by Alexander Rovt.

    4) Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York | 80 Maiden Lane | Financial District | 77K sf

    Catholic Charities consolidated its regional offices into an expanded headquarters in the Financial District.

    5) Convene | 30 Hudson Yards | Hudson Yards | 72K sf

    Convene signed a new lease for the entire 24th floor of the Hudson Yards building, making it its largest location in NYC yet.

    6) Ramp | 28 West 23rd Street | Flatiron | 66K sf

    Ramp inked a new lease in the Flatiron building, expanding its presence in the area.

    7) InMocean Group | Co and 462 Seventh Avenue | Garment District | 65K sf

    InMocean Group signed a new lease in the Garment District building, marking an expansion for the swimwear manufacturer.

    8) Cole Haan | 620 Sixth Avenue | Financial District | 62K sf

    Cole Haan inked a new lease in the Financial District building, solidifying its presence in the area.

    9) Bridgewater Associates | 295 Fifth Avenue | Nomad | 60K sf

    Bridgewater Associates signed a new lease in the Nomad building for its first NYC location.

    10) Bonhams | 111 West 57th Street | Midtown West | 42K sf

    Bonhams signed a new lease in the Midtown West building, expanding its presence in the area.
